Citrus is a comprehensive group of the Citrus genus and other species related.
They are original from the subtropical and tropical regions on the south and southeast of Asia, including Austrália and África. They were taken to Europe during the Crusades and it arrived in Brazil by the Portuguese, in the XVI century.
The medium-size trees reach around 4 meters high. The crown is dense and round. The leaves are aromatic, just like the small-white flowers. Its fruit is rich in vitamin C, with vitamin A and complex B content, besides minerals as calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus and iron.
