The Cashew tree is original from Brazil’s coast side.
Cashew was spread out in the country by the Indians who took it nut all over the country. They took food from it, drink, medicine and housing.
From the nutrition point of view, the fruit is tremendously rich. It has much more vitamin C content than the orange. It even has reasonable contents or iron and Niacine, a vitamin from complex B. Vitamin C acts against infections. Niacine prevents skin problems and Iron contributes to the blood formation.
Cashew is also recommended for intestine orientation, for it is rich in fibers. It is excellent in fighting rheumatism and skin eczemas and the nut contains oil that is extracted as an anti-septic and combat intestinal worms.
The corpulent peel of the cashew (that is a false fruit) is appreciated as a drink. The nut (fruit) became a luxury special, indispensable in the Brazilian Northern cuisine, famous in the world.
The pulp can be used for drinks, ice cream, wine, liquor, or candies.
