Scientific Name: Annona squamosa x Annona cherimola

The atemoya is a cross between two tropical fruits – the sweetsop (Annona squamosa) and the cherimoya (Annona cherimola). It is an exotic fruit with the shape of a heart and pointed on one side. It has rough peel, white pulp, fleshy, with many black seeds. It is considered one of the tastiest fruit in the world.

It contains fiber, proteins, phosphorus, potassium, calcium. It is easily adaptable to different climatic conditions.

It has a light bittersweet flavor. The white pulp, with black seeds, is juicy and highly nutritive. It is usually served raw, but we can make juices, pudding, ice cream and others from it
